Question 1

What do hail 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 159 recorded sales of the 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA with hail damage, the median was $5,400, from $3,500 to $8,400. That is 37% above the $3,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,250 a good price for this 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

5193 comparable 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,950, spanning $3,150 to $5,700. At $4,250 this one went 8% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this NISSAN ALTIMA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA's pre-damage retail value at $14,233. It sold for $4,250 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this NISSAN ALTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in SC - SPARTANBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 79,922 miles high for a 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA listings at auction averaged 89,660 miles across 5193 sales, so at 79,922 miles this one sits 11% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
