Question 1

What do rear end 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 142 recorded sales of the 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS with rear end damage, the median was $9,300, from $5,500 to $15,400. That is 9% above the $8,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $31,000 a good price for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1517 comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,600 to $14,100. At $31,000 this one went 265% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $46,745. It sold for $31,000 — 34% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OR - PORTLAND NORTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 180 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $225-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 65,237 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings at auction averaged 101,553 miles across 1517 sales, so at 65,237 miles this one sits 36% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
