Question 1

What do rear end 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 129 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS with rear end damage, the median was $9,050, from $5,700 to $14,900. That is 11% above the $8,125 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $22,300 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1670 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $8,125, spanning $4,650 to $13,700. At $22,300 this one went 174% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $39,753. It sold for $22,300 — 44% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS has rear end and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 53,694 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings at auction averaged 113,926 miles across 1670 sales, so at 53,694 miles this one sits 53% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
