Question 1

What do front end 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 722 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS with front end damage, the median was $7,600, from $4,100 to $12,200. That is 6% below the $8,125 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,900 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1666 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $8,125, spanning $4,650 to $13,700. At $5,900 this one went 27% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $19,830. It sold for $5,900 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 75,394 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings at auction averaged 113,905 miles across 1666 sales, so at 75,394 miles this one sits 34% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - FT. WORTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Did this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
