Question 1

What do water/flood 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 13 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with water/flood damage, the median was $8,000, from $5,700 to $11,700. That is 13% below the $9,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,450 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

1536 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $9,200, spanning $5,500 to $14,800. At $4,450 this one went 52% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE's pre-damage retail value at $26,640. It sold for $4,450 — 83% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

What does a salvage title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
