Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 138 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $12,300, from $9,500 to $22,400. That is 35% above the $9,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,800 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

1537 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $9,100, spanning $5,450 to $14,600. At $6,800 this one went 25% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - EAST GRANBY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 144,554 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings at auction averaged 92,509 miles across 1537 sales, so at 144,554 miles this one sits 56% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
