Question 1

Was $15,900 a good price for this 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

78 comparable 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,800, spanning $4,100 to $8,300. At $15,900 this one went 174% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a certificate of title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a certificate of title. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - WHEELING. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 50,078 miles high for a 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 90,399 miles across 78 sales, so at 50,078 miles this one sits 45% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS has mechanical and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Did this 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
