Question 1

Was $7,150 a good price for this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

241 comparable 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,300, spanning $4,200 to $7,500. At $7,150 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $20,717. It sold for $7,150 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 76,420 miles high for a 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 99,794 miles across 241 sales, so at 76,420 miles this one sits 23% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Progressive Casualty Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was listed at IAAI as lot 36878519 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
