Was $4,100 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

930 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,775, spanning $3,325 to $7,500. At $4,100 this one went 14% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

What does a salvage vehicle title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

This 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a salvage vehicle title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in TX - DALLAS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 70,960 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 97,693 miles across 930 sales, so at 70,960 miles this one sits 27% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Did this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS come with keys?

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with damage history damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
