Question 1

Was $14,900 a good price for this 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

346 comparable 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $17,800, spanning $8,800 to $25,250. At $14,900 this one went 16% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $39,669. It sold for $14,900 — 62% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a cert of title-salvage title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a cert of title-salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - MONTGOMERY. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 42,388 miles high for a 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 38,627 miles across 346 sales, so at 42,388 miles this one sits 10% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with all over damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
