Question 1

What do front end 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 417 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with front end damage, the median was $4,700, from $3,350 to $7,200. That is 3% below the $4,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,900 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

928 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,850, spanning $3,350 to $7,575. At $5,900 this one went 22% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $18,588. It sold for $5,900 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does "ENHANCED VEHICLES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED VEHICLES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 72,418 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 97,366 miles across 928 sales, so at 72,418 miles this one sits 26% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
