Question 1

Was $37,250 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT?

Accepted Answer

34 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT listings sold at auction for a median of $31,250, spanning $13,600 to $42,750. At $37,250 this one went 19% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT's pre-damage retail value at $71,737. It sold for $37,250 — 48% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - THONOTOSASSA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Did this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with water/flood damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
