Question 1

How far is this MAZDA MX-5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - SUN VALLEY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 2

Is 1 miles high for a 2017 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MAZDA MX-5 listings at auction averaged 60,804 miles across 113 sales, so at 1 miles this one sits 100% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 3

Who sold this 2017 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 4

Did this 2017 MAZDA MX-5 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with total burn damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN JM1NDAL79H0100053?

Accepted Answer

JM1NDAL79H0100053 identifies this specific 2017 MAZDA MX-5 with a 2.0l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, 155hp engine, rear wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 MAZDA MX-5 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 MAZDA MX-5 was listed at IAAI as lot 41796494 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
