Question 1

What do side 2017 MAZDA CX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 177 recorded sales of the 2017 MAZDA CX-5 with side damage, the median was $4,975, from $3,850 to $7,000. That is 8% above the $4,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,500 a good price for this 2017 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

1814 comparable 2017 MAZDA CX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,600, spanning $3,450 to $6,500. At $4,500 this one went 2% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MAZDA CX-5's pre-damage retail value at $7,721. It sold for $4,500 — 42% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a non-repairable mean for this MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MAZDA CX-5 was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MAZDA CX-5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 163,818 miles high for a 2017 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MAZDA CX-5 listings at auction averaged 102,050 miles across 1814 sales, so at 163,818 miles this one sits 61% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
