Question 1

What do side 2019 LEXUS IS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 35 recorded sales of the 2019 LEXUS IS with side damage, the median was $8,050, from $4,400 to $11,700. That is 12% above the $7,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,700 a good price for this 2019 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

430 comparable 2019 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $7,200, spanning $4,150 to $11,600. At $5,700 this one went 21% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS IS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 LEXUS IS's pre-damage retail value at $27,696. It sold for $5,700 — 79% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This LEXUS IS has side and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 78,731 miles high for a 2019 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 74,778 miles across 430 sales, so at 78,731 miles this one sits 5% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does a salvage title mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 LEXUS IS was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
