Question 1

What does a salvage mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 LEXUS IS was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

How far is this LEXUS IS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NJ - SAYREVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

Is 118,482 miles high for a 2017 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 95,619 miles across 695 sales, so at 118,482 miles this one sits 24% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2017 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was NEW JERSEY MANUFACTURING GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2017 LEXUS IS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with fresh water damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 LEXUS IS from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 LEXUS IS was listed at IAAI as lot 45951070 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
