Question 1

What do front end 2019 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 587 recorded sales of the 2019 LEXUS ES with front end damage, the median was $12,700, from $6,700 to $17,100. That is 2% below the $13,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $13,800 a good price for this 2019 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

1321 comparable 2019 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $13,000, spanning $6,800 to $17,400. At $13,800 this one went 6% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS ES from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - CARSON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This LEXUS ES has front end and suspension damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 LEXUS ES. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 16,039 miles high for a 2019 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 78,837 miles across 1321 sales, so at 16,039 miles this one sits 80% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
