Question 1

What do mechanical 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 34 recorded sales of the 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY with mechanical damage, the median was $5,800, from $3,950 to $9,800. That is 22% below the $7,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,700 a good price for this 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY?

Accepted Answer

420 comparable 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY listings sold at auction for a median of $7,400, spanning $4,000 to $11,450. At $8,700 this one went 18% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this LAND ROVER DISCOVERY from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in TX - HOUSTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 83,086 miles high for a 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY listings at auction averaged 88,261 miles across 420 sales, so at 83,086 miles this one sits 6% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was JP MORGAN CHASE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
