Question 1

What do front end 2018 KIA NIRO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 108 recorded sales of the 2018 KIA NIRO with front end damage, the median was $3,900, from $3,100 to $5,200. That is 4% below the $4,050 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This KIA NIRO sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 KIA NIRO was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

This KIA NIRO has front end and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this KIA NIRO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - BUFFALO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 139,804 miles high for a 2018 KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 KIA NIRO listings at auction averaged 95,658 miles across 301 sales, so at 139,804 miles this one sits 46% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
