Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 KIA NIRO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2017 KIA NIRO with mechanical damage, the median was $3,575, from $3,000 to $5,200. That is 7% below the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,600 a good price for this 2017 KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

405 comparable 2017 KIA NIRO listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $5,200. At $3,600 this one went 6% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 KIA NIRO was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 KIA NIRO. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this KIA NIRO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MT - CLEARWATER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 110,744 miles high for a 2017 KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA NIRO listings at auction averaged 103,236 miles across 405 sales, so at 110,744 miles this one sits 7% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
