Was $3,200 a good price for this 2017 KIA NIRO?

401 comparable 2017 KIA NIRO listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $5,200. At $3,200 this one went 17% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

What does a certificate of title (p) mean for this KIA NIRO?

This 2017 KIA NIRO was sold on a certificate of title (p). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

How far is this KIA NIRO from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in CT - NEW BRITAIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Is 238,147 miles high for a 2017 KIA NIRO?

Comparable 2017 KIA NIRO listings at auction averaged 103,277 miles across 401 sales, so at 238,147 miles this one sits 131% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 KIA NIRO. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
