Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2023 KIA FORTE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 32 recorded sales of the 2023 KIA FORTE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $6,300, from $4,200 to $9,800. That is 30% above the $4,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,200 a good price for this 2023 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

5407 comparable 2023 KIA FORTE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,850, spanning $3,375 to $7,600. At $4,200 this one went 13% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA FORTE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 KIA FORTE's pre-damage retail value at $17,403. It sold for $4,200 — 76% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this KIA FORTE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NJ - GLASSBORO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 27,915 miles high for a 2023 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 43,873 miles across 5407 sales, so at 27,915 miles this one sits 36% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 KIA FORTE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
