Question 1

What do front end 2018 JEEP WRANGLER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1573 recorded sales of the 2018 JEEP WRANGLER with front end damage, the median was $7,600, from $4,550 to $12,100. That is 4% below the $7,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,700 a good price for this 2018 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

3759 comparable 2018 JEEP WRANGLER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,900, spanning $4,500 to $12,400. At $8,700 this one went 10% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this JEEP WRANGLER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - GREENWELL SPRINGS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 141,537 miles high for a 2018 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 JEEP WRANGLER listings at auction averaged 96,145 miles across 3759 sales, so at 141,537 miles this one sits 47% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 JEEP WRANGLER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
