Question 1

What do front end 2016 JEEP WRANGLER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1071 recorded sales of the 2016 JEEP WRANGLER with front end damage, the median was $5,300, from $3,550 to $8,400. That is 4% below the $5,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,250 a good price for this 2016 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

2479 comparable 2016 JEEP WRANGLER listings sold at auction for a median of $5,500, spanning $3,550 to $8,600. At $3,250 this one went 41% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this JEEP WRANGLER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 JEEP WRANGLER's pre-damage retail value at $9,712. It sold for $3,250 — 67% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this JEEP WRANGLER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - EIGHT MILE. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 159,451 miles high for a 2016 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 JEEP WRANGLER listings at auction averaged 105,436 miles across 2479 sales, so at 159,451 miles this one sits 51% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 JEEP WRANGLER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
