Question 1

What do front end 2016 JEEP WRANGLER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1085 recorded sales of the 2016 JEEP WRANGLER with front end damage, the median was $5,300, from $3,550 to $8,400. That is 4% below the $5,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,150 a good price for this 2016 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

2512 comparable 2016 JEEP WRANGLER listings sold at auction for a median of $5,500, spanning $3,500 to $8,575. At $4,150 this one went 25% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this JEEP WRANGLER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OH - LORAIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 122,438 miles high for a 2016 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 JEEP WRANGLER listings at auction averaged 105,481 miles across 2512 sales, so at 122,438 miles this one sits 16% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 JEEP WRANGLER. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
