Question 1

What do front end 2016 JEEP WRANGLER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1085 recorded sales of the 2016 JEEP WRANGLER with front end damage, the median was $5,300, from $3,550 to $8,400. That is 4% below the $5,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,200 a good price for this 2016 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

2515 comparable 2016 JEEP WRANGLER listings sold at auction for a median of $5,500, spanning $3,550 to $8,575. At $4,200 this one went 24% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this JEEP WRANGLER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 JEEP WRANGLER's pre-damage retail value at $16,743. It sold for $4,200 — 75% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this JEEP WRANGLER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - BROOKHAVEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This JEEP WRANGLER has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 86,867 miles high for a 2016 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 JEEP WRANGLER listings at auction averaged 105,465 miles across 2515 sales, so at 86,867 miles this one sits 18% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
