Question 1

What do front end 2017 JEEP WRANGLER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1158 recorded sales of the 2017 JEEP WRANGLER with front end damage, the median was $6,000, from $3,650 to $8,900. That is 2% below the $6,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,200 a good price for this 2017 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

2638 comparable 2017 JEEP WRANGLER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,100, spanning $3,750 to $9,375. At $4,200 this one went 31% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this JEEP WRANGLER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 JEEP WRANGLER's pre-damage retail value at $21,879. It sold for $4,200 — 81% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this JEEP WRANGLER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - MONTGOMERY. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 JEEP WRANGLER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 130,818 miles high for a 2017 JEEP WRANGLER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 JEEP WRANGLER listings at auction averaged 98,335 miles across 2638 sales, so at 130,818 miles this one sits 33% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
