Question 1

What do front end 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 2707 recorded sales of the 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE with front end damage, the median was $5,100, from $3,350 to $8,300. That is 6% below the $5,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,150 a good price for this 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

5530 comparable 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings sold at auction for a median of $5,400, spanning $3,450 to $9,100. At $8,150 this one went 51% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - SAN DIEGO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 152,696 miles high for a 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings at auction averaged 100,300 miles across 5530 sales, so at 152,696 miles this one sits 52% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
