Question 1

What do front end 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 2088 recorded sales of the 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE with front end damage, the median was $4,500, from $3,250 to $7,200. That is 4% below the $4,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,500 a good price for this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

4393 comparable 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,700, spanning $3,300 to $7,800. At $3,500 this one went 26% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

This JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 174,224 miles high for a 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings at auction averaged 113,011 miles across 4393 sales, so at 174,224 miles this one sits 54% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
