Question 1

What do front end 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 2123 recorded sales of the 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE with front end damage, the median was $4,450, from $3,250 to $7,200. That is 4% below the $4,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,000 a good price for this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

4483 comparable 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,650, spanning $3,275 to $7,800. At $8,000 this one went 72% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE's pre-damage retail value at $19,430. It sold for $8,000 — 59% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 100,054 miles high for a 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings at auction averaged 112,841 miles across 4483 sales, so at 100,054 miles this one sits 11% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - VALLEJO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
