Question 1

What do front end 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 977 recorded sales of the 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE with front end damage, the median was $4,000, from $3,150 to $6,400. That is 2% below the $4,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,400 a good price for this 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

2066 comparable 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,100, spanning $3,150 to $6,800. At $5,400 this one went 32% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a non-repairable mean for this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - BUFFALO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 88,855 miles high for a 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings at auction averaged 114,185 miles across 2066 sales, so at 88,855 miles this one sits 22% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
