Question 1

Was $3,800 a good price for this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

4408 comparable 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,675, spanning $3,300 to $7,800. At $3,800 this one went 19% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE's pre-damage retail value at $17,417. It sold for $3,800 — 78% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MI - WOODHAVEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with burn damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
