Question 1

What do rear end 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 337 recorded sales of the 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE with rear end damage, the median was $4,900, from $3,450 to $7,600. That is 5% above the $4,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,400 a good price for this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

4584 comparable 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,650, spanning $3,250 to $7,800. At $6,400 this one went 38% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE's pre-damage retail value at $16,917. It sold for $6,400 — 62% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

This JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE has rear end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 89,808 miles high for a 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE listings at auction averaged 112,854 miles across 4584 sales, so at 89,808 miles this one sits 20% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
