Question 1

What do hail 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 74 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON with hail damage, the median was $4,300, from $3,250 to $6,100. That is 13% above the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,500 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

2730 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON listings sold at auction for a median of $3,800, spanning $3,100 to $5,300. At $5,500 this one went 45% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI TUCSON sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON's pre-damage retail value at $11,621. It sold for $5,500 — 53% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 82,314 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON listings at auction averaged 97,364 miles across 2730 sales, so at 82,314 miles this one sits 15% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
