Question 1

What do rear end 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 67 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA with rear end damage, the median was $3,300, from $3,050 to $4,500. That is 4% below the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,050 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

534 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,050 to $4,800. At $3,050 this one went 12% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI SONATA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA's pre-damage retail value at $9,001. It sold for $3,050 — 66% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 116,971 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA listings at auction averaged 83,005 miles across 534 sales, so at 116,971 miles this one sits 41% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This HYUNDAI SONATA has rear end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
