Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2025 HYUNDAI KONA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 23 recorded sales of the 2025 HYUNDAI KONA with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $11,325, from $6,800 to $15,500. That is 51% above the $7,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,100 a good price for this 2025 HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

1419 comparable 2025 HYUNDAI KONA listings sold at auction for a median of $7,500, spanning $4,650 to $12,700. At $8,100 this one went 8% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This HYUNDAI KONA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear mean for this HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

This 2025 HYUNDAI KONA was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2025 HYUNDAI KONA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

How far is this HYUNDAI KONA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OH - SOUTHWEST RANCH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
