Question 1

What do rear 2022 HYUNDAI KONA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 80 recorded sales of the 2022 HYUNDAI KONA with rear damage, the median was $4,563, from $3,450 to $6,775. That is 1% above the $4,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,850 a good price for this 2022 HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

1390 comparable 2022 HYUNDAI KONA listings sold at auction for a median of $4,500, spanning $3,250 to $7,100. At $3,850 this one went 14% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 HYUNDAI KONA was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this HYUNDAI KONA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - LOS ANGELES. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 HYUNDAI KONA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 25,937 miles high for a 2022 HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 HYUNDAI KONA listings at auction averaged 49,619 miles across 1390 sales, so at 25,937 miles this one sits 48% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
