Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 HONDA CIVIC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 29 recorded sales of the 2017 HONDA CIVIC with mechanical damage, the median was $4,075, from $3,000 to $5,200. That is 1% below the $4,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,900 a good price for this 2017 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

7943 comparable 2017 HONDA CIVIC listings sold at auction for a median of $4,100, spanning $3,200 to $5,975. At $3,900 this one went 5% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA CIVIC sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HONDA CIVIC's pre-damage retail value at $11,448. It sold for $3,900 — 66% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this HONDA CIVIC from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - MIAMI. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This HONDA CIVIC has mechanical and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 92,179 miles high for a 2017 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA CIVIC listings at auction averaged 104,982 miles across 7943 sales, so at 92,179 miles this one sits 12% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
