Question 1

What do water/flood 2018 HONDA ACCORD models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 62 recorded sales of the 2018 HONDA ACCORD with water/flood damage, the median was $5,200, from $3,600 to $6,800. That is level with the $5,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,800 a good price for this 2018 HONDA ACCORD?

Accepted Answer

8898 comparable 2018 HONDA ACCORD listings sold at auction for a median of $5,200, spanning $3,500 to $7,700. At $3,800 this one went 27% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA ACCORD sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 HONDA ACCORD's pre-damage retail value at $18,887. It sold for $3,800 — 80% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 87,843 miles high for a 2018 HONDA ACCORD?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HONDA ACCORD listings at auction averaged 105,184 miles across 8898 sales, so at 87,843 miles this one sits 16% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

How far is this HONDA ACCORD from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MA - ASSONET. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 220 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $275-$400, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 HONDA ACCORD. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
