Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2019 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 45 recorded sales of the 2019 FORD EXPLORER with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $5,150, from $3,800 to $8,500. That is 12% above the $4,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,900 a good price for this 2019 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

1631 comparable 2019 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,600, spanning $3,250 to $7,600. At $7,900 this one went 72% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 103,888 miles high for a 2019 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 92,450 miles across 1631 sales, so at 103,888 miles this one sits 12% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2019 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was SANTANDER. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
