Question 1

Was $7,400 a good price for this 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

1874 comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,700, spanning $3,050 to $5,900. At $7,400 this one went 100% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This FORD ESCAPE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clear (massachusetts) mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a clear (massachusetts). A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

Is 125,740 miles high for a 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 78,256 miles across 1874 sales, so at 125,740 miles this one sits 61% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2017 FORD ESCAPE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was listed at IAAI as lot 38990740 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1FMCU9GD0HUB71779?

Accepted Answer

1FMCU9GD0HUB71779 identifies this specific 2017 FORD ESCAPE with a 1.5l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 179hp engine, four wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
