Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 37 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD ESCAPE with mechanical damage, the median was $3,688, from $3,000 to $5,000. That is level with the $3,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,000 a good price for this 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

1878 comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,700, spanning $3,050 to $5,900. At $5,000 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a cert of title-repossession (p) mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a cert of title-repossession (p). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OK - TULSA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 450 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$550, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This FORD ESCAPE has mechanical and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 105,125 miles high for a 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 78,191 miles across 1878 sales, so at 105,125 miles this one sits 34% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
