Question 1

What do hail 2018 CHEVROLET TAHOE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 55 recorded sales of the 2018 CHEVROLET TAHOE with hail damage, the median was $8,888, from $5,200 to $13,800. That is 31% above the $6,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,150 a good price for this 2018 CHEVROLET TAHOE?

Accepted Answer

1346 comparable 2018 CHEVROLET TAHOE listings sold at auction for a median of $6,800, spanning $3,900 to $12,750. At $3,150 this one went 54% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this CHEVROLET TAHOE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 CHEVROLET TAHOE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 CHEVROLET TAHOE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This CHEVROLET TAHOE has hail and transmission damage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 182,218 miles high for a 2018 CHEVROLET TAHOE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 CHEVROLET TAHOE listings at auction averaged 113,703 miles across 1346 sales, so at 182,218 miles this one sits 60% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
