Question 1

What do rear end 2018 AUDI A5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 123 recorded sales of the 2018 AUDI A5 with rear end damage, the median was $8,000, from $4,550 to $12,000. That is 18% above the $6,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2018 AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

1044 comparable 2018 AUDI A5 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,800, spanning $3,900 to $10,500. At $6,900 this one went 1% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this AUDI A5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 AUDI A5's pre-damage retail value at $25,543. It sold for $6,900 — 73% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 AUDI A5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 55,513 miles high for a 2018 AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 AUDI A5 listings at auction averaged 81,586 miles across 1044 sales, so at 55,513 miles this one sits 32% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this AUDI A5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - PITTSBURGH WEST. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
