Question 1

What do water/flood 2018 AUDI A5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2018 AUDI A5 with water/flood damage, the median was $6,450, from $3,900 to $9,500. That is 7% below the $6,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,100 a good price for this 2018 AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

1015 comparable 2018 AUDI A5 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,900, spanning $3,900 to $10,500. At $9,100 this one went 32% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this AUDI A5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 AUDI A5's pre-damage retail value at $25,003. It sold for $9,100 — 64% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this AUDI A5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in DE - SEAFORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 70 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 104,793 miles high for a 2018 AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 AUDI A5 listings at auction averaged 81,093 miles across 1015 sales, so at 104,793 miles this one sits 29% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 AUDI A5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
