Question 1

Was $7,200 a good price for this 2016 AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

120 comparable 2016 AUDI A5 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,125, spanning $3,175 to $5,925. At $7,200 this one went 75% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this AUDI A5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 AUDI A5's pre-damage retail value at $22,823. It sold for $7,200 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a other (california) mean for this AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 AUDI A5 was sold on a other (california). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

Is 54,950 miles high for a 2016 AUDI A5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 AUDI A5 listings at auction averaged 73,306 miles across 120 sales, so at 54,950 miles this one sits 25% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 AUDI A5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This AUDI A5 has left side and damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
