Question 1

What do front end 2021 VOLVO XC90 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 242 recorded sales of the 2021 VOLVO XC90 with front end damage, the median was $11,500, from $5,500 to $18,500. That is 8% below the $12,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $22,300 a good price for this 2021 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

547 comparable 2021 VOLVO XC90 listings sold at auction for a median of $12,500, spanning $6,400 to $20,900. At $22,300 this one went 78% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC90 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 VOLVO XC90's pre-damage retail value at $41,386. It sold for $22,300 — 46% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This VOLVO XC90 has front end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 34,636 miles high for a 2021 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 VOLVO XC90 listings at auction averaged 64,307 miles across 547 sales, so at 34,636 miles this one sits 46% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this VOLVO XC90 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in VT - RUTLAND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 300 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
