Question 1

What do fresh water 2016 VOLVO XC90 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 14 recorded sales of the 2016 VOLVO XC90 with fresh water damage, the median was $7,000, from $4,100 to $8,550. That is 11% above the $6,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,700 a good price for this 2016 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

1478 comparable 2016 VOLVO XC90 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,300, spanning $3,850 to $9,700. At $12,700 this one went 102% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLVO XC90 was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this VOLVO XC90 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MA - EAST TAUNTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 220 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $275-$400, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This VOLVO XC90 has fresh water and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 37,291 miles high for a 2016 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLVO XC90 listings at auction averaged 122,894 miles across 1478 sales, so at 37,291 miles this one sits 70% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
