Question 1

What do front end 2017 VOLVO XC90 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 276 recorded sales of the 2017 VOLVO XC90 with front end damage, the median was $6,600, from $4,050 to $10,700. That is 4% below the $6,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,400 a good price for this 2017 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

762 comparable 2017 VOLVO XC90 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,900, spanning $4,050 to $11,200. At $10,400 this one went 51% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC90 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 VOLVO XC90's pre-damage retail value at $22,163. It sold for $10,400 — 53% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 VOLVO XC90 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

This VOLVO XC90 has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 186,407 miles high for a 2017 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 VOLVO XC90 listings at auction averaged 114,571 miles across 762 sales, so at 186,407 miles this one sits 63% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
