Question 1

What do mechanical 2016 VOLVO XC90 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 87 recorded sales of the 2016 VOLVO XC90 with mechanical damage, the median was $5,400, from $3,850 to $8,000. That is 13% below the $6,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,200 a good price for this 2016 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

1505 comparable 2016 VOLVO XC90 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,200, spanning $3,850 to $9,550. At $6,200 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC90 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 VOLVO XC90's pre-damage retail value at $13,275. It sold for $6,200 — 53% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 VOLVO XC90. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 110,894 miles high for a 2016 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 VOLVO XC90 listings at auction averaged 123,282 miles across 1505 sales, so at 110,894 miles this one sits 10% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does a clean title mean for this VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 VOLVO XC90 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.
